Today Mustard Foods a Wimbledon based food production company less than 5 minutes away from St George’s Hospital has agreed to support CriticalNhs. Two weeks ago they were producing 30 tonnes of food per week for restaurants largely around the UK but also in Portugal, Ireland, France and Germany.
With restaurants shutdown Mustard Foods launched a home delivery service of restaurant-quality frozen meals and with the intention of doing the same for hospital staff they found us.
They are currently producing and preparing meals for us, which our volunteers deliver. The plan is to develop a scalable hub and spoke model to support other frontline staff over the coming days and weeks.
